Joyea Marshall-Crowley
Executive Director/Founder
E.M.C Community, founded by Joyea Marshall-Crowley in 2023, is a faith-led nonprofit inspired by God and the birth of her youngest son in 2022. As a mother of three, Joyea witnessed the challenges today’s youth face—disconnection from self, lack of motivation, and limited access to purpose-driven opportunities. With a heart to serve and a calling to lead, she created E.M.C Community to help young people reconnect with their God-given worth and walk boldly in their calling.
The name E.M.C, short for Every Moment Counts, reflects both the sacred value of time and a tribute to her children—serving as a reminder that every moment holds purpose, power, and potential.
Through flagship programs like Benevo Youth, Camp Benevo, and Benevo Bonds, E.M.C Community exists to equip youth and young families with real-life tools for personal growth, leadership, and legacy-building. Grounded in faith, rooted in compassion, and committed to community, we are here to restore hope and raise a generation that serves, thrives, and leads with love.
Join us in our mission— To bridge gaps in youth and family development by nurturing purpose, faith, and community—one moment at a time.
